Thought you’d seen Paper Scissors Stone before? You ain’t seen nothing yet!
We, at Paper Scissors Stone, are thrilled to have had our work so well received in The Lewis Gallery, by all of our visitors. It is a real joy to be able to see the work in such a beautiful and diverse setting, and engage in thought provoking and stimulating conversation around the work.
Part of the afternoon of Friday, the day of the opening reception, was spent in discussions and sharing our inspirations and thoughts with the ‘A’ Level Art and Design students from the school. They asked some really challenging and provoking questions and really engaged with what we had to offer.
Jo Howe said ‘I really enjoyed this part of the process, even though normally I can find it rather daunting. The students were engaged and considered in their questioning and I felt really moved how a couple of the young ladies focussed on a particular piece of my work, feeding back on how they reacted to it and giving me further insight into how my practice can effect others. These conversations are such a rich part of what we do as artists.’
With this in mind, some of the Paper Scissors Stone artists (so far confirmed are Caroline Lumb and Jo Howe) will be available in the Gallery on Saturday 28th November 11-2, open specially for this event.
Why not take this opportunity to come and meet the artists and see this highly acclaimed show for yourself.
